Steven Matthew Brown's fiction and essays did or soon will appear in Black Warrior Review, The Dunes Review, Allotrope, Driftwood, The Destroyer, and elsewhere. He earned an MFA from the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar in 2008 with his illustrated novel The Body Palimpsest. A former Allesee Fellow, recipient of Firestone Foundation, Ohio Arts Council, and MCACA grants, Brown has staged over forty exhibitions and community projects in six countries. The book [COSHOCTON] surveys one such project in a struggling Ohio town. He is from Michigan but lives in Germany.
