Lana Rakhman was born in Kiev, Ukraine, but currently lives in Chicago. She has current poems published or forthcoming in The New Poet, Psychic Meatloaf, Jet Fuel Review, Poetry South, Grey Sparrow Journal, Main Street Rag, Juked, Rougarou, and others. She is the poetry editor for TriQuarterly Online, and has an MFA from Northwestern University. She teaches college English, and in her spare time she translates Russian poetry and dreams about traveling to secluded places. She drinks a lot of coffee.
